PIL Hall of Fame - 2006 Inductees Honored!

The PIL has created a Hall of Fame. 
 
2006 Inductees:
 
Laddy Davis, 1948, football (all-PIL; all-conference for Grays Harbor College), track and field (member of state championship 880-yard relay team)
 
Ray Hyde, 1950, basketball (all-PIL), baseball (two-time all-PIL, all-state; all-NAIA and all-Northwest Conference for Lewis & Clark College)
 
Jack Keller, 1946, football (all-PIL; three-year letterman for Oregon, second team all-conference), basketball (all-PIL, member of four PIL title teams, one state title team and one state runner-up, two-time all-state tourney)
Curly Leininger, 1943, basketball (all-PIL; played on McElroy’s Ballroom team in late 1940s), baseball (four-time all-PIL)
 
Roy Pittman, 1962, wrestling (four-year letter winner; organized Peninsula Wrestling Club in 1970, helped coach in 1984 Olympics, National Wrestling Hall of Fame member), baseball
 
Don Sloan, 1949, football (all-PIL, outstanding player in Shrine Game, member of 1947 PIL title team; three-year letterman for Oregon)

Anson “Midge” Cornell*, 1912, football (twice all-Northwest), basketball, baseball, starred in football and baseball at UO, athletic director at UO

Ralph Krafve, 1948, baseball (member of state championship team), football, basketball
 
Jerry Lyons, 1949, football, track and field, coached three PIL title teams in wrestling and one PIL winner in football, PSU football coach 1963-67
 
Cardell Matthews*, 1959, football, wrestling, track and field (state 440-yard champion)
 
Herb Normandine*, 1914, football (1912 team ranked No. 1 in country), baseball, basketball
 
Willis “Will” Urban, 1945, basketball (member of 1945 state title team, all-state tourney), baseball
 
Oz “Tub” Walker*, 1915, football (four-time all-state, member of 1912 national championship team)
