Memoir Retired from full time employment on April 10, 2009. Left Portland for Calif & Arizona three days later for a 35 day, 20 golf course road trip. Drove 4,547 miles, played Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines, Spyglass and 17 other truly memorable courses. Stayed with my only child (Erik in L.A.) and friends for half the trip and Motel 6's the rest. Visited San Fran, L.A., San Diego, Phoenix, Palm Springs and the Monterey Pennisula. Had a lot of fun, but I was happy to see my wife (Morgan) when finished. I've been to many places in this world, but this was truly unforgetable.
