Memoir I was a freshman but will never forget the atmosphere of the our rivals at Benson's new gym. There was standing room only and Wa-Hi was playing the techman with Richard Washington & Ricky Lee. We had Bobbie Flowers, Earl Cheney, Thomas Channel & David Littleton and Joe Smith and crew. The game was went into overtime and I remember so many people being the gym that they had ambulance and police available for those fainting from the heat in the gym. TV crews were their and everyone stood nearly the whole game. When the game went into overtime there was nearly a riot. After the game we got out of that gym fast. After that classic game this rivalry had to move to the Colisiuem the next year because our little gym was too small to hold "big" games.
